Meet the “M” to our JEM. Melissa Judeh is a registered nurse with more than 21 years of experience treating patients and is a managing partner of JEM Medspa. She is an expert aesthetic nurse injector and has been performing aesthetic injections for more than a decade.
Melissa began her career working in the children's intensive care unit of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she also discovered her love and aptitude for aesthetics. She honed her skills in cosmetic medicine under well-known plastic surgeons and dermatologists and studied abroad. Melissa now shares her experience by mentoring students as a national trainer for the Allergan Medical Institute, Galderma Aesthetic Injector Network, Cellular Medicine Association, and Plasma Concepts. She is also the co-founder of JEM Education and is one of only 27 certified aesthetic nurse specialists in Illinois.
When not working with clients, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, sipping coffee at Starbucks, riding her Peloton bike, and, most importantly, running around being a mom.
Meet the “J” to our JEM, Jeanine Graham, RN, CANS. She is our managing partner and expert aesthetic nurse injector of 16 years. Jeanine has been a registered nurse for over 30 years. She began her nursing career as a cardiac nurse working in telemetry and then graduated to the Step-Down Unit in the ICU. From there, she worked in a liver transplant unit. She decided to take time off to raise her young children. After they were all in school full-time, Jeanine found her true calling in aesthetics in 2005. The next year, she opened Envy Medspa in Homer Glen, IL, where she perfected her injecting skills and mastered the different facets of the medical spa business. In 2009, she decided to forego the business portion of her spa temporarily to focus more on her family of four young boys. She continued to perform aesthetic treatments and also managed other area medspas until 2018. That year, Jeanine began a new chapter in her career by partnering with Melissa Judeh and Dr. David Dreyfuss to create JEM Medspa. Here, she brings forth the culmination of 16 years of experience and expertise and demonstrates why she has been so successful in the medical aesthetic field. Jeanine is a straight talker, sets realistic expectations, and values the trusting relationships she has created over the years.
During her career, she has become one of the most sought-after aesthetic nurses in the Chicagoland area. She has performed thousands of safe and artistic aesthetic procedures, using a wide variety of state-of-the-art products, including neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid fillers, collagen-producing products, platelet-rich plasma, laser treatments, and PDO threads to achieve the best and most natural-looking results for her patients.
Jeanine’s passion for the aesthetic field is evident as she continuously expands her knowledge and skills in aesthetics. She frequently attends national programs, conventions, and trainings to ensure she provides the most current aesthetic treatments. Jeanine also is a national trainer for Allergan and National Laser Institute. She trains new and advanced injectors at JEM Education, a training center she helped create. She finds training and sharing her knowledge with both novice and advanced injectors, which is one of the most satisfying aspects of her career thus far.
With all that she has accomplished in her career, Jeanine feels her biggest accomplishment in life is the upbringing of her four boys with her husband. She loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, and opening herself to new experiences, and she admits to an addiction to shopping.
A veteran of the aesthetic industry for nearly 18 years, Nikki began her career as an aesthetician at a Chicago med spa when nonsurgical procedures first started to become mainstream. After a few years of gaining valuable experience, she brought her knowledge to Northwest Indiana, working for more than a decade in cosmetic dermatology while also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She has worked for a prominent local plastic surgeon for the last four years in a high-volume setting where she specializes in natural aesthetic outcomes with cosmetic injectables.
As a knowledge-seeker, she continued her studies to become the third person in the state of Indiana to become a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. Today, she continues to seek learning opportunities. She has and continues to train with some of the most accomplished injectors in the world. Nikki firmly believes that continuing education, particularly in aesthetics, is absolutely necessary for keeping patients happy with safe and beautiful outcomes.
Patients describe Nikki as warm and honest, and she has earned a reputation for delivering conservative, natural-looking results.
Nikki has had a transformative year thus far, both personally and professionally. As a soon-to-be new empty nester, she'll be embracing a new chapter of life. She loves spending time with her daughter, four animals, family, and friends. She enjoys great dining, traveling, music and movies, and finding new experiences that help her live life to the fullest.
A graduate of Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Indiana, Alexis become an aesthetician in 2019. She also has an Illinois aesthetician license. While working at a Chicago med spa, she acquired the advanced skills to perform laser hair removal, microneedling, chemical peels, and body contouring treatments. Alexis also has a background as a certified nursing assistant. She is passionate about helping and caring for others, and her goal as an aesthetician is to ensure her clients feel beautiful and confident with their radiant results.
A native of Munster, IN, Alexis is grateful to be able to give back to the community that has given so much to her. Outside of JEM Medspa Indiana, Alexis is very family oriented and loves to spend time with her family and friends. Pool days in the summer are her favorite, as well as spending time spoiling her nephew.
A registered nurse with more than 10 years of experience, Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Purdue University. Before joining the world of medical aesthetics, Megan specialized in maternal/child nursing. In 2019, after completing her aesthetic education through JEM’s certification courses, Megan knew that she had found her new passion. In early 2021, she completed an in-depth internship program through JEM Education under the direction of Melissa Judeh and Jeanine Graham. She is passionate about continuing her aesthetic education and exploring her artistic abilities.
Megan is thrilled to have found her dream job at JEM Medspa Indiana. Her favorite moments are spent at home with her three sons. She also has a love for the arts and live music. Megan is a fierce advocate for the disabled community, and in her spare time, she provides education and support for new parents of special needs children.
Kathleen has been foraging patient-client relationships in the medical industry for more than 25 years. With 10 years in retail business management, Kathleen has a passion for working with people. One of her most important duties is to ensure every visitor at JEM Medspa Indiana has a caring and comfortable experience.
Away from work, Kathleen uses her organizational skills to coordinate events that support local small businesses and animal rescues. She also loves to travel with her husband, Dan, their three children, Aidan, Abbey, and Aaron, and doodle, Hazel.
With more than 15 years of customer service experience, Michele is one of our friendly patient care coordinators. Previously, she worked for a Chicago bridal boutique. She brings warmth and amity to JEM Medspa Indiana where she strives to provide a professional experience for clients.
At home, Michele enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons. She loves shopping, yoga, travel, and quality time with her family, friends, and her dog. Michele is a Munster, IN resident who you may see on the baseball, football, or soccer fields with her boys.
A native of Northwest Indiana, Ally has a bachelor's degree from Purdue University. She shares a passion for aesthetics and skin care with the rest of her colleagues at JEM Medspa Indiana. As a client coordinator, her goal is to ensure each patient experiences amazing customer service and specialized care. Ally loves spending time with family and friends at her family's lake house in her free time.
Erin joined our team in 2021 as a Client Coordinator. Her natural leadership skills quickly advanced her to Practice Manager of Munster in 2023. Erin graduated from Lincoln Way Central in 2007 and has worked in the medical field ever since. She comes with over 14 years of customer service experience and truly loves every minute. When she's not working, you can find Erin spending time with her family & friends, working in the garage, or behind the wheel of her race car with her husband Mike. She has two dogs, Jake & Penelope, that she loves so much & keep her busy.
Ashley Gill (formerly Avola) has worked in the medical spa setting for nearly 99 percent of her career and as a licensed aesthetician since 2006. Ashley is an expert laser technician and one of the most popular lash artists and microbladers in the south suburbs of Chicago. Her knowledge of medical-grade skin products and what they can do for different skin conditions is unmatched. Ashley is certified and highly trained to work with our Sciton® laser HALO® for laser skin resurfacing, SkinTyte®, and Forever Young BBL™ photofacials. She also is an expert in a wide variety of skin care treatments, such as medical-grade facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microneedling. Ashley truly loves her work, and it shines through on the skin of every client who walks out of her treatment room.
Her role as a patient advocate and mentor to our team members is invaluable, and our team is so grateful that she chose JEM Medspa Indiana as her home. When Ashley is away from the med spa, she enjoys traveling, kicking back, and relaxing with her newlywed husband.
Michele Knappe, APN-BC, DNP, CEN is not only a Nurse Practitioner but also a dedicated specialist at the realm of JEM Medspa’s Health & Wellness. With an impressive 22-year tenure as a Registered Nurse, including 17-years as a Nurse Practitioner, she brings a wealth of experience with her. Michele earned her Master of Science in Nursing as well as her Doctor of Nursing degrees from Loyola University in Chicago, beginning her career in the Emergency Room before establishing a consistent presence in Acute Care and Emergency Medicine. Michele transitioned her focus to Wellness and Obesity medicine a few years ago and, in 2022, became the Health & Wellness specialist at JEM. Her expertise is centered around obesity management, IV vitamin therapy, and hormone replacement therapy. Michele is also certified through BioTE Medical, specializing in Bio-Identical hormone replacement therapy for both men and women.
With a passion for digital media and design, Mary strives to illuminate and bring life to her electronic creations. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2008, taking every opportunity to create, design, and expand her experience in digital media, leading her work to be featured on HGTV.com and Good Housekeeping. She also has worked with several renowned brands and celebrities, including designing and co-writing a healthy living-inspired cookbook for Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp. In September 2021, Mary joined JEM Medspa Indiana, where she showcases the breathtaking beauty of medical aesthetics with the talented and flawless work of our JEM team members. She values her time with her husband, Joe, and their two kids. She loves traveling, staying active, and is always up for a new adventure!
Meet Katrina, our director of operations for all JEM Medspa locations. Katrina received her bachelor's degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Saint Xavier University. After graduation, she worked in the pulmonology and sleep department at DuPage Medical Group while co-owning and operating a successful local trucking company. In 2009, she was presented with an opportunity to redirect her career path to the medical spa industry. For three years, her passion for aesthetics continued to grow, and she quickly advanced to a managerial role at another medical spa. This experience, combined with her keen business acumen and patient care expertise, led her to the role of JEM Medspa's Director of Operations. With brilliant skills in client satisfaction and company operations, Katrina has helped lay the groundwork for JEM to become the top medical spa in our area.
Katrina is a fiercely proud mom of three adult children who loves having game nights and hanging with them. When she's not at JEM, she also enjoys dining out, spending quality time with her besties, and going on long weekends with her husband.
Angela has worked in dermatology since she started in healthcare 8 years ago. Working in dermatology when she was young started her passion for aesthetics and helping others. She has extensive experience assisting physicians with both medical and cosmetic procedures. Angela holds bachelor's degrees in both Allied Health as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She is experienced in Telemetry and Cardiovascular procedure nursing as well as performing various cosmetic procedures including, Botox, filler, microneedling, and chemical peels. Angela loves to learn and is always continuing to look for new education to help give her patients the best outcomes. She is passionate about helping others achieve their natural aesthetic goals and believes it is very important to take the time to get to know her patients to help them look and feel great about themselves. At home, Angela loves to spend time with her husband, Brian and their golden retriever, Maple. She loves trying new restaurants and traveling to see all the different NHL rinks with her husband to check off their list. She is extremely excited to be a part of the JEM family and continue to learn and collaborate with all the amazing providers here!
Meet MJ In 2019 MJ completed her Aesthetic License from New Age Spa Institute in Illinois. She ambitiously charged into an extensive employment at The Derm office of Prominent Dermatologist Dr. Amy Brodsky. There she worked closely with Dermatologists who advanced her medical knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art technology and tools. Her skills include Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Laser Hair Removal, Skin Rejuvenation Lasers, and Body Contouring. After successfully becoming the Lead Aesthetician and 2 years under her belt, MJ relocated to Jem Med Spa in Indiana. MJ is both Illinois and Indiana state licensed. She cares intensely for a great relationship with her clients and strives to provide the best results leaving you confident, glowing, and happy in your own skin.
While growing up MJ went to school in Illinois and was a competitive dancer traveling the country competing at national levels. She loved and embraced competition which created her strong fortitude to succeed. After graduating High School, she moved to Europe and became a dance instructor. Traveling through many countries she learned to become attentive to individuals when teaching and has learned to apply that to her patients with their individual needs. Outside of the Med Spa MJ enjoys spending time challenging herself in the gym, cooking for her family and loved ones, and spending time with her two dogs. MJ is motivated and excited to start this new chapter at Jem Med Spa providing the best care she can!
